I just finished looking at four pages of brooders made by others at BackYardChickens. We just made this coop for the Teenagers. I had planned on making a brooder out of a double sink and I have the 1"x2" boards to make a top for it. A light finally clicked on. I can use the Teen Coop for a brooder, too! The whole roof comes off for cleaning, it is portable. We just need to put a door/screen on the opening and make a screen top with hinges for it and we have an instant brooder that will go from chicks to pullets. Sometimes I amaze myself and I'm wondering why my sweet husband hasn't already thought of it~ :)
