Goat Pen and Toys Done

Now the waiting begins, they are supposed to be born the end of the month.  Here are a lot of shots of our setup.

It is 34' long and 14' wide.  The pots on the outside of the fence are part of my garden.  We put our old carpeting under the pipes to keep the dirt in and weed free in that section.

The teeter totter: covered with rolled roofing.

Inside the goat shed.  Sleeping shelves and we hit the CULL pile at our favorite Box store and got two sheets of thin plywood we put over the insides so you no longer see the pallets.

I have lots of these pipes, they can go inside pipes or stand or lay on top.

The "Cube" I stole from our kiddie playground, too small for the kids to play in anyway.  There is wood on top and a ramp up two sides to play on.  You can see the pipe area right below it.

Another view of the cube.

Another view, you can see the teeter totter, a bench with pavers in front and in the distance the cube and the bench/pipes.  To the right of the pipes are three of the largest rocks I could find in my yard.

The future milk stand.

  1. You are much better prepared than we were. My first doe had twins on Wednesday and my 2nd is due anytime now. Got it done in a hurry but still need to find a better long term solution. Glad you linked up to Simple Saturdays.

  2. We had nothing to do since we had to wait for them to be born, so decided to get a head start on the building and pen. We still have a month or more to wait, too! :)
