It is bright in the window but... I'm glad I hadn't gotten any farther than the black and white square. I had stopped to find turquoise since I was told it was turquoise and panda's when I got the baby shower invite that said "hot pink" and "panda's". Okay, really glad I stopped. So, I did a varied pink border and now just need to frame it up and get it quilted.
I'm also working on a quilt for a friend whom is moving. She started our little quilt group and every milestone in our group is marked by all/some making blocks and someone puts them together. She usually puts them together and finishes them up for others. It is her turn. When my sister died I was made a cute little wall hanging and when my mother died I was made a flannel rag quilt. I suggested to the group to make her a quilt and was bugged about it so I threw in red, white, and blue. Amazingly, I was brought/mailed 15 blocks. I had one block to add that was in my stash, I had to add to the edges to make it larger. I then decided to make the whole quilt bigger and I made four friendship star blocks for the outer corners. I'll take a picture later, it is still in rows and pinned.
