Okay, until recently, I have not had any, any at all, I have things I'm working on. But, I have TOO many hobbies so I work on one thing at a time. I weave while watching TV or hand sew. I paint, I crochet, I rubberstamp, I make jewelry, need I say more? Back to quilting.
I bought this pattern over 10 years ago that was a baby quilt pattern that has ducks on it. Ducks with cute hats and I bought yellow minkee for the ducks. This person still has not had a baby so eventually I'm still going to make it for her because I bought it JUST for her. I have not started it so it does not count.
I have a COUPLE of friends that have given me their started projects and are definitely UFO's but they are not mine, or weren't until they were passed on to me. I've made two of them up into table runners/toppers and gave back to the one friend. She also gave me great vintage fabric that I am making the Farm Girl Vintage out of. That is a WIP, I have cut out the first 10 blocks in the 6" size and sewn two. I have tons left.
The other friend gave me the "The Spin" and is always bringing fabric to give away to the meetings.
So things started are:
- J&S Baby Quilt
- Terri's Red, White, & Blue
- Jean's quilt pieces and started blocks called "The Spin"
- Sandy's quilt passed on to me, it looks like "Trip Around the World" but is done in half square triangles.
- I have a chicken wall hanging that is applique I've been playing with for over a year called "Bernice and her Baby Chicks"
- Spinning Rails which is our class project
- Farm Girl Vintage
- Moda's "Summer Sorbet" from the book Fresh Fabric Treats X2 - I'm making one like the picture and a second one with just the stars. I have all the pieces ready for one but am working on the second. It is a great way to use up 5" squares.
- "Bloom" Sew along. I just got the pieces to make this. It is going on vacation with me along with:
- Redwork Chickens - I downloaded and printed various chicken designs and have them ironed onto 9" muslin squares.
- Brick Quilt - this is the oldest thing I have in the cupboard. I use it for a leader/ender project and have actually made one quilt out of most of the pieces. This one is using blue/green/purple pieces in the black bricks.
- I have the pattern here that I'm itching to start called "Perpetual Motion" that has a girl on a bike that is Steam Punk but I have to finish others before I even start this one! :)
