We hiked Monolith Gardens yesterday, it was the first time we have hiked since Labor Day weekend when we went into Supai.

BTW Supai was awesome. 10-1/2 miles in, a few miles a day to see waterfalls, then 10-1/2 miles back out. The last 1-1/2 miles up was a killer. Back to Monolith Gardens, it is beautiful as always but it has been almost 2 months since we hiked and my new boots got broken in and my legs and feet hurt when we were done. We did 6.7 miles. It is really beautiful in the spring when everything is blooming but the rock formations are awesome and there is a bit of everything there flats and hills for training. When we hiked into Supai there was a couple that we met going in that apparently had never hiked. They just put on shoes and went in. Her shoes gave her blisters bad around her ankles and they will never hike again, he said. I was dead beat by the time I got there as it was hot and close to noon and on the way out, luckily it was cloudy but the up was hard for me. I made it though. Next weekend we are hiking into Arizona Hot Springs.
