has gone by really fast. Yesterday I got two milk cans spray painted with three coats of a Satin green paint, three of the Tin Soldiers are now spray painted Flat Black, the others went home with my students. We took next week off so they have two weeks to get them ready.
I got my two recent rose tree purchases planted along with the Goji Berry bush also planted and the mulch put on top of them. I planted brocolli and brussel sprouts and got to talk to my grandson for the first time since they went back to England in August. He was appalled that I planted them because he doesn't like either one. He's funny! All in all it was a great day! I still have two Red Tip Photinia plants to plant but they will be okay until next week.
I got three stacks of Christmas ornaments cut out before the band saw blade broke, Steve soldiered it back together and I got one more stack done before it broke again. Today we went to HD again, (was there yesterday for wood to cut) to get a new one. Then we came home and took Tipsy for her haircut appointment, Panzer rode along and was very happy we didn't make him go in. This should do Tipsy until January and then I'll get Panzer done, too. I now have all my Christmas ornaments cut out and one project for January, too. We will take a break for the holidays until after I get back from Quartzsite in January from paint class.
I'm hoping my shift change is approved. I gave a girl at work my Tuesday shift as she didn't have very many hours and I don't need them next week. If all goes as planned I will have five days in a row off and I should get my Tin Soldiers basecoated and get the Special Order painting on the milk cans done. I'll just have to work Sat. & Sun. this week and next. I also need to do some deep cleaning and of course next week is Thanksgiving and all are coming to our house.
From the Studio I'm outta here they should be calling for me to pick up Tipsy any time and I have tons of painting to do!
