Morning to me!
Our trip to Flagstaff was great! We picked up my sewing machine and left our car parked in the lot at the first shop that was a recycled shop. Then we walked all over downtown looking for a hiking pack and all were way out of our price range, we went into like 4-5 stores and had lunch at Diablo Burger. Food Update: The food was okay, although $12 for a burger was a bit too much for having to pay cash, they don't take debit or credit cards. I'd understand the burger being so high with the fees for taking the cards but a bit high for having cash and I didn't like the herbs de provence on the fries, it was a bit too much. They will tell you where the closest ATM is, although, if I had to go and look for an ATM I wouldn't go back, I'd probably find somewhere that takes my card. :)
We finally were heading to Michaels and on the right we saw a another sports place so turned around and went back. I'm glad we did because there we found my pack. The guy donates packs to guided hiking tours and he had one left that had been used once so I got a $160 pack for $40. It is perfect and has everything I need. I'll never find all my stuff in it with the compartments I have now. Now we need to find a water filter, get a smaller cookstove, sleeping bags, and sleeping mats. A little at a time, it's still cold out.
Oh, and I tried out my sewing machine last night. It is back to sewing wonderfully again, the tension is back on track! Yay!
I forgot! I did make up the 5 gallons of Duggers laundry soap and I tried it yesterday in my wash. The cuffs on my denim work shirt have had brown edges for a very long time. After using this soap the brown edges are gone, now to use the feel test to make sure it doesn't bother our skin.
