Our New Couch

We decided we would do it ourselves, so we went to BHC to Joann's Fabric and went looking for the perfect fabric.  Wow, upholstery fabric is expensive!  We found a clearance section and bought this bright flower print, we got it to the front and were going to get 5 yards and changed and got 6.  We got it for $9 a yard because all clearance stuff was half off.  We had just enough to do the couch and that was being very careful.  We got the couch done and put it back and said, oh, crap!  The trim is also the same color so made another trip to BHC to get the last almost two yards that was left on the roll.  Luckily it was still there and TA-DA our trim is now done, too.  We spent 2-1/2 days, taking apart, making a pattern from old, and putting back together again.  Just like Humpty Dumpty...  We did have a couple of moments when we had blonde moments and neither of us could figure out how to put a piece back in, but we got it and it turned out absolutely beautiful!

Are we going to do the chair next?  Nope, because it looks really hard! :) It doesn't need it and it is green, the couch was ripping apart so we had to do it.  Okay, back to work today, but at least I had productive days off this week.  I now work two, off two, work one, off three, and work one.
