actually rainy for the last four days, totally weird for here.  We went to Lake Havasu with our pontoon boat again on Sat.  The only Sat. I've had off in a while, okay, to be honest I was off Thurs. - Sun. a couple of weeks ago but that was a totally big fluke, too.  I never have weekends off unless I ask for them in advance so it was nice.  We went with my sister, Sherie & Rick, Stephanie, and us.  We borrowed Chris' truck because he had to work.
Friday Stephanie and I made Lazy Girl back packs.  I totally didn't read the instructions right and they are smaller than supposed to be so will make another one each now that we know what we did wrong with the first ones.  I told Steph, that's why I usually make one first, that way if I screw up it's only one.  I screwed up both so they were 3" shorter than they were supposed to be and have no lining because we quilted the lining to the outside.  I was only suposed to quilt the outside to the batting.  I have never done that before so assumed it was the 3 layers.  Yep, we'll pick new fabric again and start over.  Actually I think I'll sew some quilt blocks I have in a bin together and make the bag out of them.   I have a ton of 12" blocks made I can use.  Yep, a great idea!  Okay time to get ready for work.  Anybody who reads my boring blog?  Have a great day!
