and it showed us exactly what to do to dip out chickens. Before we dunked them I cut the feathers away from Reds, Princess', and Queenie's vents so I could see better. All three had the lice but I couldn't see any on the Barred Rocks. Steve would catch a chicken, I'd hold her as I was shown and then put her in the dunk for a few minutes, then set out so could go and dry and then Steve would bring me another, and so on. Soon they were all cold and wet and standing in the sun. You could tell as they dried they wandered and did a bit of scratching and pecking. While they dried we scrubbed roosts, cleaned out the coop, sprayed the inside of the coop, and got all hopefully bug free. We still have to do it again in 7-10 days.
