I have been very busy trying to get ready for my craft show at the Mohave County Fairgrounds. This show is sponsored and called the Kingman Cancer Care Fair. All booth fees and donations go to the Kingman Cancer Care unit. I went to set up on Friday and the wind was so bad we couldn't get the EZ up open all the way and it kept blowing it away even with three of us hanging on to it. We put all back in the trailer and I went inside to find Penny. No, there is not another spot available. I went home with a promise from Penny that if a spot came open along the fence (at least along the fence line we could strap the booth to the fence) she would call me. Three and a half hours later, she called. Off we went. It took us only two hours to set up. I spent the last two days there and I sold the Today's Menu desk and only one of my Seasonal Planters that I worked so hard to make. I did get a bite on a spring show at the fairgrounds so will see how that works. Maybe I'll do inside at that time, except all my stuff hangs off my booth so probably not. :)
I have also spent time winterizing and getting all my pots back into the greenhouse. In the matter of a week we went from 70s weather to 50s weather and freezing at night. My trees are very confused, too. Usually my mulberries drop their leaves at the first frost and then the cottonwood slowly loses her leaves after. This year the cottonwood has been slowly dropping her leaves for a couple of weeks while the mulberries still have their leaves. But, the frost did get the rest of the garden and the chickens are warm so we are all good here!
Hi Robin! This is Becky. Good to see you at the craft show Sunday!
ReplyDeleteGreat blog! Interesting how our weather is becoming more unpredictable as the months pass
I sent you an email regarding the craft show, let me know if you don't get it.
