The Days are getting shorter, back to the Present Day

and my chickens are giving me 4-5 eggs a day.  Four brown and one green.  So, four of the Barred Rock's and one Aracauna is laying, well, 3-4 days in a row, and then take a day or two off.  Hey at least one out of three of the older gals are laying.  Red did lay me that "one" double yoke egg a couple of weeks ago. :)
We let them out every evening to run.  They do love to run when we let them out.  They look like Velociraptors the way they run up to each other with their necks all puffed out.  Last night, Steve had let them out to play before i got home and I just went out the back door and hollered "girls" and they all came running.  I give them some "crack" every night before they go in.  It is their incentive to go in. They are very fun and I am loving having them and the eggs are wonderful!
