I cleaned the coop and pen on Wednesday because the weather is going down hill. We spent the morning coop cleaning, cutting firewood, basic yard cleaning. It was a beautiful day with no wind and no jackets.
I had planned on cleaning the coop and run on Monday when I'm off but it weather permitting I did it early. We are going on vacation next week to Quartzite for 10 days and have a babysitter here to watch things for us but I wanted the coop all nice and clean for them. I DE'd everything, put in new pellets on the inside and new straw for them to root around in the run. Straw from the feed place so it has no chemicals in it. I just read a good article on that.
I got five eggs yesterday and the day before. Yay!
