We have finished the pond take down and finished the new chicken run area. The lawn is seeded and now waiting. The weather got colder after we planted the lawn, darn it! Hopefully the birds don't eat all the seed before it comes up and sprouts. My chickens are grounded to their pen until the grass seed gets established so they don't eat it.
I've planted a few new plants like Autumn Sage and a Euryops along the back fence and picked up a few annuals for baskets. I have planted geraniums all over the place.
One thing I found lately on the internet is a vertical gardening with rain gutters and I've been reading on using pallets. You fill in the sides and back with lumber and then fill with dirt and pack it in. While it is laying on it's side you plant it and then after the plants start growing you lean it upright.
I really want to do the rain gutter garden though, it looks fun and I have two patio sides I could hang it from. Here is the link.
