R.I.P Tweaker- my twisted beak Polish chick has been crying most of the day for the last couple of days. The beak was twisted to an impossible angle apparently, too impossible to get food and water any more. I weighed the other Polish and it weighed in at 160 grams and at the beginning of the week Tweaker was at 122 grams and since the last weigh in has lost 10 grams so it was time. We didn't want it to suffer so put it down today while both of the kids were not here.
And now there are six chicks left. Two week old Gold Laced Polish- Diller - could be boy or girl - but name is from Phyllis Diller. Then the 6 day old other kids, they are all pretty docile and let me hold them except for the Speckled Sussex of which Jordan my oldest grand daughter named Racer. She wanted to name the Black Australorp Phantom but I just can't do that so it is named Aussie. More names to come as we decide. :)
