A few days off

I have a few days off now, just did a mini vacation that was half disaster but was an adventure but that is on my Junque Art Blog :)  Meanwhile, I've started letting the chickens mingle at play time.  Mostly they ignore the young ones but now and then Hazel runs after one and pulls feathers.  They will get the pecking order established.  I won't let them open in the same run until the young ones are on the same feed.  For now they will live separate.

I am off for another week and I have plans to paint my studio, I need to add some sprinkler heads in my rose beds and do some cutting out of branches.  For some reason I have quite a bit of dead rose branches.

As for chickens?  The coop will get cleaned, I think it is time to check for mites, and I'm going to use meds on waddles and combs and put petroleum jelly on legs just in case.  Can't hurt!
