Crafty Thursday Afternoon

My friend Marilyn came over yesterday and we had a crafty afternoon.  Stephanie joined us and we played with metal cards again.  I love these, can you tell?  There is just so many things you can do to it.  I've bought a metal roller wheel kit from Ten Seconds and I have one with a zig zag pattern that I picked up at a yard sale for 50¢, plus the old pattern wheel which makes interesting bordering.  Here is what I did.

We used the metal tape from the building/lumber section that has sticky tape on the back.  Marilyn brought the gold foil and I cut it in strips and put it in the Xyron to add sticky to it.  The colors are Tim Holtz alcohol inks and they are painted with black paint which is wiped off before it dries but left in the crevices.  All the patterns are rolled on except the grid which is drywall tape which sticks all by itself.  We ran the metal tape through the Cricut to get all the designs: clocks, gears, sayings, etc...
