The Polish Lay

Sassy laid her first egg two days ago.  A smaller light colored cream egg.  She is the youngest of my two polish chickens.  Diller whom is about 3 weeks older than Sassy just laid her first egg today.  Yesterday she was in and out of the egg box, I kept watching the camera, in, out, back in, rearranging everything. Today she finally laid her egg and was very proud of it.  She squawked and made a big racket until I went out and held her and told her what a good girl she was.  At that point, she said, okay, and went out with her friends.  We spent the last two days taking 20' of bushes off my back fence.  I had honeysuckle that was mostly dead and two grapes that didn't grow until after I planted the honeysuckle.
Our town is doing a clean city clean up on the 20th.  We couldn't wait two days to use the free thing and had to go to the dump today.  But, I'm very sure I can fill the trailer again by then. :)
