I have been saving my cucumbers because I read the instructions wrong. I swear it said ten pounds! So, I had to make a double batch. Then to decide on a recipe. The Ball canning book just used regular vinegar and City Boy Hens said to use cider vinegar. I split the difference and used both. Then one said white sugar and the other said brown, so again I used both. Then I saw a recipe for spicy bread and butter pickles so I added red pepper flakes to the last five jars. Now to wait for a few weeks to taste the results!
