Fresh Eggs For Sale?

Well, egg production is slowing here at Rockin' Chick Hotel.  I think all the younger girls are still laying but only one of the Barred Rocks is.  I'm getting 6-7 eggs a day for now.  It looks like a black and white pillow fight going on in my back yard.  We are molting.  When chickens molt they don't lay eggs.  Their bodies have put all their energy into putting feathers back on their bodies.  Why on earth would they molt just as it's getting cold.  Last winter I had a chicken sweater on one of them most of the winter, no way could she keep warm without it.  It took her like 3 months to forgive me when she had it on.  She would make a big wide circle around me but I know she was happy with it.  It's almost time to buy Feather Fixer feed which has more nutrients and made just to add what they need to feather back out.
