Frozen!

Frozen!  The first time this fall.  I went out to check and they were all staring at me,  HELLO? You know we like to drink water first thing when we get out of the coop!  So, I went inside and got a bucket of warm water to melt through the top and they are in business.  I could have just moved the ball but they would have all tried to get out so I just opened the top half of the door and poured.

 

Everyone's feathers are coming back in well, Diller, our Polish, has all her tail feathers and has feathers back on her head.  She looks great.  All of Racers, the Speckled Sussex, feathers are back in.  The only one that looks rough still is Hazel but she still didn't molt as bad this year as she did last year.
