Rain has arrived here

There was a big storm in CA yesterday and arrived here last night so I can get some things done inside.  Not that I didn't just go elk hunting for a week. :)  I got three scarves made while I was there including the one out of my Stone Soup that I spun and now I've woven it with an acrylic yarn that compliments it beautifully.

I have almost finished my dish towels for Christmas presents, one set is on the loom and almost done and I only have one left to do.  I wrapped presents this morning and am almost ready.  I need to run to the dollar store for stocking stuffers now.

I made laundry soap this week.  What a fiasco!  I put the Zote soap in the microwave too long and burnt the bottom out of my biggest plastic bowl and then a hole in the bottom of a plastic shoe box.  After that I got a rubber cake pan out and used it and microwaved for short bursts.  I finally got it done.  It cost a total of $27 and will last half a year.

Here are a couple of shots of my scarf with my home made yarn.  It looks pretty good and it is MINE!   The first shot is the whole thing and then two up close shots.  It turned out very well, if I do say so myself. :)
