Tiling part Two

 The computer corner finally done.

 

Where the steps attach and to the right is the wood stove.  We still have to cut all the pieces up against the wood stove corner.  We have to go buy more of the white tiles, we ran out.

 

 

We tiled the wood stove area a couple of years ago.  Had we paid attention we would have got the same grout color as we used in the corner but the floor was halfway done when I realized we used a gray in the stove corner.  The floor is Alabaster/Bone color.  Nothing is straight and it has taken us a week to do it.  The light colored tiles were just a bit smaller than the darker ones so the whole thing is off.  We started out with the spacers but it just wasn't working so eyeballed it.  We now know we suck at tiling :) but we did it ourselves and it will do.  Much better than the 17 year old carpet.

 

Today we'll finish the corner and get the rest grouted, then go around and touch up the walls where I was messy.  Then clean, clean the new tile to get the dust off.
