Hiking with Goats

We have been taking the kids hiking short sections and loops around a dirt cattle tank.  I started along our wash where the city has put nice side walks along but decided to hike a bit longer so have been going to local hiking trails this week.  This is the beginning of one in Monolith Gardens.  There are lots of loops there depending on how far you want to go.  We're not going too far since they are only a couple of months old.  I think we only went a couple of miles each time.  Need to remember to take my GPS next time to see for sure.
The first time we went last week Steve and I tried walking close and they were under our feet, next to us, etc.  We finally figured out that Steve leads and I lag behind and they walk in-between.  They stop for snacks and go up on rocks but get right back in their places when Steve gets too far ahead.  I watch behind and keep them from eating stuff they shouldn't.  I have a Frisbee for their water for now and I plan on buying a collapsible bowl to carry for later.
We are going camping in May and along with bottle breaking them at that time in the forest where they can yell to their hearts content we are going to hike in the woods with them.
