This is four pairs of trivets that I made using chicken fabric that was fussy cut to go in the centers. The lower set in the left corner is the only pair I have left.
I watched a Craftsy video called Stupendous Stitching. It was a wonderful video and the first thing she tells you to do is make a stitch bible. You make padded fabric pages and starting with Stitch #1 and so forth sew about a third of the way down, then change your width to about half what is was to start, go another third. Then change your stitch length to about half of what you had. She had you make them bigger on her machine but mine will only go smaller so I am doing this. I like the fact that I can see in person what the stitches look like on fabric. I also plan on doing a project like she does in the video. It is beautiful and worth the $$ for the class.
