I have this four foot playschool cube in my playground area. I decided it would be great for the goat pen. I took it apart which is much simpler than I made it look and took it to the goat pen. It sat a few days and then Steve made a plywood top for it with a 2x4 frame to sit inside the cube for sturdiness. I then rearranged stuff in the goat pen and made a ramp up to it.
Then, I started thinking, what if one of them knocks the other off and they break a leg. Still thinking about this when Dahlia got to the top and found she could yell really loud from higher up. Forget breaking a leg, the goat that is two foot off the ground is much louder and can see farther than she could before. I took it apart the next morning and placed it back in the kid playground.
Next, so I wouldn't waste the nice plywood top Steve made for me, I thought we'll use it for a bench. I put two pallets on the ground and placed the plywood framed piece on top. They loved it rocking and played like crazy on it. Then yesterday morning I'm doing yard work across the yard when I hear Dakota bellowing. Like a hurt bellow. I run across the yard to find his head under the plywood piece, which he got out as I arrived. Dahlia was on top, tilted it up, he stuck his head in to see what was there and she came back across and off leaving his neck between. He's okay and the plywood framed piece is now on four 4x4 legs instead of sitting on the pallets. Silly goats. I kind of like the new piece too :)
