It has been a busy winter, we won the war with the sparrows and we went on a two week vacation. I had a friend come and stay here and take care of the chickens and goats. He did a good job and we'll use him again when we go somewhere.
We had snow here yesterday. My goats kept peeking out the doorway and watching it fall. They wanted nothing to do with it.
I'm getting ready to have a vet draw blood from the goats and send it in to WADDL for testing for CAE, CL, & Johnnes. In March I am taking both to Buckeye as I can't have one goat here so they are both taking a vacation. Dahlia is going to get bred, yay!
I have an appointment on Monday at the vets to draw the blood. At that time I package it up carefully, and send it Priority Mail to Washington. I was going through my goat papers and found the card the vets office sent me. I get $10 off my next visit, I'm glad I went through the paperwork, $10 is $10 :)
