Third Acre Shirts and garden

I was given a screen printing kit and decided to make myself some farm t-shirts for our vacation.  I just bought two from Dollar General.  Front and then back.

My garden is growing by leaps and bounds.  I checked the beets this morning and holy crap!  I had about 8 large ones and so to make more room for the rest I pulled them.  I made refridgerator beets out of them.  I got two jars as shown in pic below.  The recipe I used called for rice vinegar, water, sugar, and salt.  I only had enough rice vinegar for one jar so I used balsamic vinegar in the second batch.  We'll see how they taste in about a week.

I went out yesterday to check on my chickens and one was wedged against the side of the water pan and I thought she was dead, no, she was cooling off.  Today I went to the box store for a mister and short hose.  The mister I had died and it helps to keep them cool.  The things I do for my animals, right?
