BLM Blues

Life has been busy.  We went to Quartzsite for the RV show as usual but only for a week.  It was cold.  I checked with BLM here before we went about having my goats on BLM land and was told there were no rules against them.  We get there, and before we paid one of the volunteers was shown the goats and he said, Yes, you can have them as long as you clean up after them.  We paid and he put our stickers on.  We were at camp for a day when we had gone to the store and came back and found a note taped to our door with a business card from a BLM guy.  We can't have goats in the long term area.  I called him and told him that before we paid the fee for camping the guy told me it was ok.  He said,"I don't think so".  He was rude to me.  I told him that he needed to talk to the volunteer because he did tell me it was okay and apparently didn't know the rules.  I was told I could go to all the free areas with them but not the long term where we had to pay.
We drove around for over an hour trying to find a spot where we had room in the free areas and they were all packed so after much deliberation, I packed them up and brought them home and had to pay my house sitter to come for the week.  I'm going to write a letter to the BLM and complain.
