So, can I do this? Am I just dreaming big??? All I've ever done is random quilting. Can I do a pantograph? When they called back to verify my order, I added the laser light and rear handles. I just ordered a couple of pantograph's. Now, I'm scared! I know we can afford it with Steve working now and I only have a year of payments with no interest.
Will I get good enough to do other's quilts? One of my good friends (that took my Shitzu, Tipsy, for a companion) asked me if I quilted for other people, I told her she could look at what I do and I'll quilt for her if she wants me too. Hopefully all the cones of machine quilting thread I bought will work on the new machine. Elvira is/was very picky on what thread she uses.
So far, I've only quilted for my friends/students. They are very happy with what I do. I do a full size quilt for $60, a twin for $40, baby quilt for $25. I'm cheap, I'm not perfect, but do I want to be? Yes, I'm scared. I tried a bit to follow lines I put on with my stencils and I sucked at it. But... my machine didn't slow down when I did, nor did the stitches stay regular. The new Tin Lizzie Apprentice has stitch regulation, needle up/down, and I think I'll love her, but yes, I'm still scared!!!
