Making Apple Pie Filling

I bought a case of Granny Smith apples just for apple pie filling.  I already made apple sauce.  I sliced off the tops and bottoms to make it easier for my new attachment for my Kitchen Aide.  All the tops, bottoms, cores, and peelings went into the crock pot and cooked half a day, then I put them into the mulch and put the second batch of peelings in the liquid and cooked them another half a day and made apple jelly out of the liquid.

The Kitchen Aid attachment was so much easier than the hand crank one I used last time.

Bowlful of apples

Cooking with clear jel.

My new canning stove which will also go camping with us.  It works much better than a turkey fryer.  I also had a pizza oven coming for it, yay!
