Busy Week

Been busy, I had Christmas day off, then worked a few days, two days off, and now am in the middle of a 7 day long stretch of working.  I only had 6 but volunteered for another day.  My good news is my Quartzsite vacation request has finally been approved so now I know I get to go.  Now to find a place for Stephanie to go to or someone to stay here.  She is not stupid, to me she's a normal girl, you would only know about her CP by her learning disability.  She is a very smart girl, just doesn't act her age.  I cannot leave her here alone, she does things like lean on the stove and turn the burner on without being lit, and leave candles unattended.  I just told her recently that is why I haven't let her have candles in her room before.  I found one burning in her room and she was hanging out at the other end of the house.  My candles may be lit but they are sitting in another container totally.  I had a glass sitting on my bathroom counter and it got low and the little metal on the wick got so hot it popped a piece out of the counter top.  So, now they sit in a candle holder or on one.  I'm anal, I know, but I don't want my house to burn down because of a stupid candle. :)
I took down the inside decorations this last week and got them all put away.  My next day off I need to take down and put away all the yard decorations.  Will probably take part of the day.  I have three 4' gingerbread cut out that need painted.  I have the paint, tray, and roller ready, just need the time to do it. 
We are going out to Chloride this weekend to wander and take pictures.  We are going to hike out to the murals- about 1-1/2 miles- just a short jaunt and have lunch at Yesterday's.

Then next weekend we are going to drive up to Las Vegas and take our bikes and ride the train tunnels by the Hoover Dam.

and then go on into town and hit up a few thrift shops, have lunch and come home.
Then the following weekend I will get 10 days and have someone staying with Stephanie so my house is not alone.  I just had an idea and maybe I'll have my friend, Marilyn, stay here or at least throw the idea at her and see what she thinks.  Okay off to work!
