Friday SMIDAY

I worked my butt off yesterday in the yard and house.  I had to empty my Rainbow twice, apparently it's been a very long time since I vacuumed. :)  We are trying to weed my desert section and clean along the fence so the neighbors weeds will not some to our side as bad.  I trimmed all the lilac's away from the fence, took one banks rose and on virginia creeper off that fence so we could put a partial pool wall across the bottom of the fence.  I'm looking for more of the pool siding, it makes a great weed barrier along a fence.  Last year my neighbors mowed their foxtails and they all pushed through my fence and it cost me $150 to get the foxtails out of my pups ear, one had punctured her ear drum.  It was not fun!
I still have about a dozen roses to trim back and a bunch of weeds to go, I also have a ton of rocks that were along the fence that my husband says, we are not putting them back.  I think I'll fill the wheelbarrow and haul them across the street to the empty lot and dump them or line along the road with them to keep people from turning around there like they usually do.
I have to go and get blood drawn this morning and wouldn't you know I woke up long before time?  Which sucks because I can't even have my coffee, it's a fasting blood draw.
The Scottish festival was fun but I prefer the Renaissance Festival, they have lots of things to see and do and this one had tons of booths and music but wasn't as fun as the other.  We did a lot of shopping and hopping from one store to another and I got a pair of Keen hiking boots, actually my sister, bil, and I all got a pair they felt wonderful in the store.  I had to pick up a thicker pair of socks for mine and we'll hope I'm okay with them.  Okay, you can tell I haven't been here in a while, I'm way chatty!  More later, I still have a pin cushion and a kid story to tell.
