They learn pretty fast, too.
The first night I had to put the first three in the coop and put a board in because they kept coming back out. The second night I had gone back for another three to make my six chickens and they all went in. But: they huddled in the corner instead of on the roosts.
The third night I had read to wait until after they go in and it is dark and place them on the roosts.
The fourth night they went in by themselves and all perch on the top roost. Bet that doesn't last long when they grow up.
Then there was the water training. I first put a pan of water in and then I bought a watering bottle with the upside down tray. I ordered the auto watering cups and we have it on the side that stays mostly shaded and it is a five gallon bucket with pipes coming into the pen with the watering cups. It will fill every other day with my watering system. It only took me taking out the bottle and leaving them for a couple of hours with no water and I then showed every one how to use the water cup and they were using it. Amazing!
So, I have a video of my coop before I added the paintings so I'll add it next and then later put pictures of my coop painting.
