Just some observations

My friend Sandy came to check out our coop.  She liked the porch lights, which are solar attached to the outside of the windows.  They have electricity ran to their coop and lights inside.  I told her I was color coding my chickens because I named them which she also did. :)  I bought 6 different colored leg bands from the feed store and came home and put them on.  Yeah, that did not work. they were like putting a necklace on their ankles, they came right off.  So, they have a string of yarn around each ankle coresponding with the bands.  I made wood signs and routed in their names and the plaques hang on th front of the coop.  The plaques are the same color as each names legband.  I know Red is Silvie, Yellow is Cecile, Blue is Ruby, White is Cleo, Green is Vera, and Orange is Hazel.  They are all named from Aunts from both of our sides.  Anyway, back to the story:  Sandy said I have too much time when I told her I was making name plaques and my husband popped up:  "From the person who put lace curtains in her coop"  I thought that was totally funny!
