Up Close!

So, had an up close experience with the newest girls.  Red has a bumble on both feet and Queenie only one one foot.  Princess is bumble free.  They are just big chickens.  You wouldn't believe they are bigger than my Barred Rocks the way they let them run them all over.  It is getting better though.  Sandy and Terry are coming over next Wednesday after I get off work and we are operating on chicken feet.  I have all the supplies ready.  Their feathers are coming back in on the Araucana's backs nicely.  I think my ointment makes them feel better.  I've been spreading it on their naked backs every day.  It is also helping them to get used to me.
I cleaned their water bucket today and scrubbed out all the mildew.  Need to put pennies in it and a bit of cider vinegar which is good for them and it helps.
Tomorrow am cutting back my herbs and drying them.  Now I have a use for all of them.  In the coop they go. :)
