I picked up these silkies like a couple of weeks ago, right? We haven't even finished the little coop because it has been too darn cold for the glue to work, hopefully tomorrow we'll get it done and finished painted. Steve sent me a text yesterday. Guess where? There is a picture of two eggs: a small white one next to one of my brown ones. Apparently our silkies started laying and had no idea of where to do it so she dropped it on the ground. Steve found it and promptly put shavings in the unfinished egg box for them. Today, we had two eggs... Guess I'll need three columns in my egg book now. One for Brown, one for Green, and one for Small White.
Here is today's egg basket with drying marigold flowers in the bottom. The two on the left that are a bit smaller are the Silkie Eggs, you then have brown from my Barred Rocks and of course the beautiful green from my Aracaunas.
Just found the pictures my hubby found when he found the first egg. Here we go~!
