8:12 AM on Wed. March 13th: Grand daughter, Skylar Mae Ann Fulkerson made her arrival weighing in at 6# 5 oz. and 18-1/4" long. My daughter picked the date: 3-13-13 for this baby.
Meanwhile, my son, Bryan's girfriend was in the next room being monitored. The plan was for them to be induced and be watched all day, if no baby was ready to arrive they were going home. But as her doctor said: my overly aggressive partner sped things up so you'll be having a baby today sometime. Because his partner in the practice came through and checked on Eva and broke her water. So after being at the hospital all day long and leaving Stephanie with the girls. we were ready to settle down for a bit and went home. We spent the day going from room to room and still no second baby.
Close to bed time, Steve tells me, I'm feeling a bit weird. Said got dizzy, legs feel weak, nauseous on and off and had a pain in his chest. I had him take a nitro glycerin pill. Still felt weird so off to the ER we went at a bit after 10 pm. (still no baby) After a bit in the ER, they take an Ex-ray, do an EKG, take blood and decide to keep him over night. Baby is finally trying to come now, of course, since we are stuck in the ER.
We have a PI baby (3.14 is PI) : 3-14-13 and introducing new grandson: Rohan James Lynn Baca Cramer born weighing in at 7# 13 oz born at 12:23 am while we are sitting in the ER.
We now have two more grand children to make our total of six now. So we finally get in a room around 1:30 am and get settled in. I went home to get some sleep around 2 am and woke up at 7:30 am and went back to the hospital and checked on the two new grand babies. Here is me holding both and then I spent the day in Steve's room going back and forth seeing babies. Family reunion at KRMC with family in three rooms!
Hanging out in Steve's room, it was frigid in there so we were both under the covers keeping warm. One of the nurses said they were going to keep an eye on the heart monitor he was wearing in his pocket and they could watch it from the nurses station.
It turns out that Steve probably gave himself an anxiety attack because he is okay and they could find nothing wrong with him but it is better to be safe than sorry! He was still stuck there until almost 7 pm the next night and he has a check up with his heart doctor on Thursday. So, we are back at home, happy, quiet as all moms are home and respectfully all their children are also at THEIR homes. :)
