That I ordered three Gold Laced Polish chickens from our local feed store. Since then, I have ordered chicks and they will arrive in two weeks, but that thought was still in the back of my mind, Robin, you still have those three chicks on order. The reason I bought chicks is because they get different chicks every week and I didn't want to wait. So, I stopped at the feed store yesterday on the way home and they had ARRIVED! Yes, I still had three on order. :) I decided not to take them since they were straight run and got about four blocks down on my scooter when I turned around and went back. I would totally kick myself in the BUTT if I didn't get them! So, I came home with three chicks in a box behind me on my scooter.
My husband did not kill me. We now have seven chicks in the brooder since my neighbor is not ready for his yet. I cleaned out the brooder yesterday and put in pine shavings. They are so much fun to watch. They are already digging in the shavings and they will all be running around and then boom! I'll have a pile of flat chicks napping, then someone wakes up and they are off again. This is so much fun~! But where am I going to put all of them? :)
