Quilting and stupid kids

I have my Meet Me in Paris quilt on the frame now.  I am half way through quilting it, then the fun comes.  It will have a scalloped border on three sides and I am still deciding if I'm hand sewing it down after attaching the edging or if I'm going to try the machine.  We'll see.

On the other note, my niece and her friend went quad riding on Friday and crashed.  Emilie cracked her skull and was air-lifted to Sunrise Hospital in Vegas.  Stephanie has a fracture in the bone under her eye.  We were supposed to see the Ear, Nose, & Throat dr. yesterday but they were closed.  I have to go back to work today so Steve will have to take her.  She was told not to blow her nose and to sneeze through her mouth.  It could cause air to go behind her eye.

Emilie had surgery on Sat. morning and had a piece of her skull removed and a metal plate put in.  She came home yesterday, and will be okay, I'm glad for one!  Stupid kids not wearing helmets!  Stupid parents not making them wear helmets.  It could have been worse.  They were four miles out and both got knocked out, Stephanie woke up and got them both back to Emilie's house and from there were taken to the ER.
