The Brooder is Ready

The brooder is now sitting in the house, a Gatorade bottle with a chicken nipple is mounted, the lamp ready, the floor has news paper and non slip on it.  The temperature needs adjusting but we are ready.  My chicks should hatch Friday/Saturday and we are ready. 

My chicks from Murray McMurray will be here the week of the 27th, I called yesterday and checked to make sure they didn't some on Monday which is a holiday.  No, they plan ahead so they will get here probably Tues.-Friday.  This will be fun and the grand kids will have fun watching both projects.

The hatching chicks will go to my neighbor after they are a couple of days old, I still need to go and talk to him and see how many chicks he wants out of the order I have coming.  This week when I'm off for sure! 

The weather here sucks, it has been hot, now cold again and expecting rain tomorrow.  We need it so I guess it's okay, it just means I can't ride my scooter to work, I'm car bound! :)
