We had this terrible storm go through last night and dumped lots of rain and wind on us. We are glad we were home, a wind went through that tried to take our new solar structure with it. We spent over an hour getting drenched while Steve used every tie strap, chain, come along that we had to get it back up straight. It went back and twisted. The builders said, quote, "It won't need bracing". Now, I'm just a GIRL and I know that anything that is 12 feet off the ground and has a flat top or any top for that matter will need some kind of bracing. I'm glad Steve knew how to get it back upright. It didn't go that far, but with all the solar panels on the top I'm sure it is top heavy and that wind was the thing to cause it. I'm glad we haven't paid them yet! We are still waiting on the free solar tube light they promised us for the kitchen.
The other selling point was the gateway so we could monitor the system online, and then they told us we didn't get the gateway. We can't monitor it online without it. Hmmm, what's not right about this. They really wanted to sell it to us and promised stuff to us. It is not our fault they had to build a structure because they really wanted to sell it to us, and they should have done it right in the first place.
