I have an old wringer washer and the twin tubs that I use for my herb gardens. They used to all sit outside the porch along the walkway. Bit since we had the solar structure built and cancelled our big dumpster and had to downsize. We now have two rolling 45 gallon cans we moved that now sit where the herb gardens used to be. We put the washer in front of the porch in an empty spot and the twin washtubs on the inside of the patio. The twin washtubs have my two basils, greek oregano, stevia, and chives. The washing machine itself holds lemon balm and parsley. I cut the lemon balm back and dry it regularly for the chicken nest box. Since we swung the double washtub to the inside of the porch the basil has no longer gone to seed. I used to have to pinch off the tops all the time, but no more.
The outside where all is growing through. The columnar basil is on the left and my Stevia is on the right.
The lemon balm and parsley.
