Eggstra Parking

Well, here we go again.  Since the wife brought home more chickens last year and has recently added two more chicks we have been watching the egg box traffic.  We had boxes when we only had six, and when we put the addition on we only put two egg boxes instead of three.  The egg boxes have been over ran with some trying to squeeze into the box and a waiting line in the coop so after much thought and consideration we are adding another egg box.
The new section is not enclosed underneath at the current time but is in process.  The new egg box addition will be under the other egg box with access from under the coop and that end will be closed in.  The second feeder will go on the other side and be accessed from under the coop and out of the weather.  It was put in the run addition when we had the young ones separated but that isn't needed any more.
When the two new chicks get old enough to go outside they will go in the section of yard behind my flower bed that we put up for the Silkies.  When I sold the Silkies we kept the area fenced as no point taking it down.  It gets used with the big pipe pots for winter gardening and mostly keeps the big girls out.  We'll put in the brooder/coop that we built in there for shelter until they get big enough to mix in with the others.
Here is shot of the coop for now.  The new egg box will go under the other one and a couple of shots of the new egg box in the making.  My hubby came up with the "Eggstra Parking" so I painted it on.
