After our broken wing was fixed I put the new girls back in the run with the old girls. Except: I put a futon frame across the run sideways and put a wire gate at the end. The young two perched on top of the rail for a birds eye view of the older girls and the big girls would hop over and visit but they did fine. After a week I took the gate at the end down and let everyone mingle that way. Now, I've removed the whole thing and the little ones don't hide in the egg boxes any more nor scream every time a big one goes by. But, they are always together, where one is, so is the other. The other day my husband said one made a noise and so did the other, they were in opposite sides of the yard. They both ran to where they heard the other one only, they each ran through a different gate and missed each other. It was too funny.
So, the wing healed fine, it is a tad lower than the other one apparently I had it strapped a bit low. But she flies and flaps it so she will be fine. I was worried but at the rate they grow I figured it would heal quickly like the web said.
