I cleaned out the chicken coop and refreshed the straw. The straw I inherited this last year is in small pieces instead of long and curly so I lose a bunch just going to the coop but Steve will like it better and I can use it in the compost. The last just wrapped around everything and he hated it.
My goats are doing fine, we need to go walking I've just been letting my left leg heal. I pulled the muscle in January getting into a friends jeep and it is just now getting better.
The goats love the new porch. We just attached the table/wide bench Steve built to the wall as they kept using it to scratch with and moving it all over the place so now it is stuck in place and a bit smaller so now the broom will fit in between the posts.
I've added a Bermuda hay pellet to their mix of the Alfalfa/Timothy. They aren't sure if they like it but will eat it if they have to. I'm giving Dahlia a bit extra Purina Goat Chow since she should be prego.
We just went on a two day trip and my pet sitter stayed here and took care of the place. I personally hope he never gets a job so he can sit for me forever :)
I also like the arrangement of the milk/feed room much better since we moved the milk stand to the back wall. All the feeds line up on the left wall nicely.
I also made bigger wells for the roses along the fence in the pen and put the leftover dirt in the low spots in their pen. They seem to like peeing on the new dirt. It helps to keep it in place :)
I'm still waiting for the Napga website to be updated for what is happening at the Rendezvous. I wrote a note yesterday to see when they were going to update and let the world know, after all, it is only a month away.
