We delivered my goats to Buckeye on Saturday to try and have her bred again. Sheri, my breeder said she got bred twice on Sunday. I couldn't even tell when she was in heat. She sent me a message to see if I wanted to wait until she came into heat again or come and get them. I am waiting. Last time I ran down and got them and it didn't take. I want to make sure it works this time.
Steve is putting lights in the goat sheds, he partly ran the power to it yesterday. We need to find lights, just want a small strip in each side. He is moving the power cord to the electric fence inside the shed instead of by the back door. It was dusk to dawn, now it will be from a certain time until dawn. I kept zapping myself in the evening when it was getting dark.
They have been gone two days and I miss them!
The new chickens are getting along. I've named them:
Americauna: Goldie because she is a gold color compared to my other one
Cuckoo Maran: Cookie
Silver Lace Wyandotte: Lacy
Goldie is still trying to perch on the porch in the evening but all we have to do is shoo her off and she goes in the pen. The other two have settled in well, I think their color makes the originals think they are the barred rocks. But they are smart and go up on the high bar we put in.
