I currently have a few, okay, five:
- The oldest is my leader/ender project, it is "Purple, Blue, Green Bricks". I have been making bricks as leader enders for a couple of years. I finally have had enough of this project and need to put it together and be done.
- I'd say the next to the oldest is one donated to me by Jean J. It is called "The Spin" from the book named "New Cuts for New Quilts" by Karla Alexander. I'm going to name it "The Spinning Frog" because she has the feature in the centers is done with frog fabric.
- I just finished the second quilt top of the "Bloom" quilt by Lori Holtz. I finished the first one and it's on my kitchen wall. I am keeping that one because I hand stitched all the flowers down while on vacation last summer. The second one is for my friend Susie L. who put dibs on it. I made it along with my class. The flowers are blanket stitched down with a machine on this one. It is getting quilted this weekend.
- I have blocks with redwork chickens on them that I also stitched while on vacation last summer in-between sewing the "Bloom" flowers when I got bored with them or ran out of thread while driving. Those straw needles are impossible to thread going down the road.
- Lastly, I have my "Vintage Farmgirl". I'm in no hurry for this one. I'm sewing all the blocks in the 6" version and I'm only doing it because I can and no one else in our group did the small version, they all chose the 12" blocks.
